Heartbleed OpenSSL bug how to identify and fix on your Centos Server

Monday April 7th a major security bug was announced for OpenSSL now known as Heartbleed.  We have tested and are comfortable with a fix released by Redhat April 8th which we will document how to apply on your server, managed clients will be updated by our team.

How to fix?

With the recent release of new OpenSSL Repo updating is now as simple as:
yum update openssl -y

Change TimeZone VPS timeZone

Below is a simple cmd that wil save you hours of being annoyed :D

mv /etc/localtime /etc/localtime.old
ln -s /usr/share/zoneinfo/Europe/Helsinki /etc/localtime

 

Instead of Helsinki select your preferred zone
